It is a branch of the national charity CRUSE (established in 1959) that supports bereaved adults and children. It is an independent information and support organisation. It is a group of committed people who care about and understand the needs associated with bereavement. It has no religious or political affiliation. Cruse exists for the benefit of all people regardless of age, ability, gender, race and sexual orientation or social background.

Norwich Cruse offers:
  • One to one support
  • A telephone helpline to find out about our services and other bereavement support available to people in Norfolk. Ring in on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings 10 - 12am or leave a message at other times
  • Advice and helpful leaflets and information
  • Support for children and young people
  • Monday Morning Group; a social support/coffee group aimed at older people who have been
    bereaved in the past - (people should ring the Cruse office before going along for a first time).
  • Training and outreach work for other individuals/organisations who deal with bereaved people.
